The Sea Aggie Partners in Excellence Endowed Scholarship was established in 2003 by various donors recognize the freshmen student(s) deemed to have been most successful as a first year student at Texas A&M University at Galveston. This award will recognize the student their freshman year TAMUG and excels in academics, leadership, service and student participation. The recipient should qualify as an overall outstanding student with accomplishments and balance in all areas of academic and student life providing an example that new students can strive to emulate.

Friends of John Futch Textbook Scholarship provides book scholarships to students with a GPA between 2.0-2.75, preference for community service involvement and first generation college student and at least 1/3 of awardees being EOP students. Students who demonstrate an awareness of global citizenship and the importance of a diverse society are given preference.

This fellowship program was funded to encourage and support maritime education. Texas A&M University at Galveston graduates provide vital services in every facet of the maritime industry. Upon graduation, maritime students often find jobs in the deep-sea, tug, and barge fleet. Ashore, graduates can be found working in areas as diverse as marine insurance, port authorities, environmental protection, ship design, building, and repair. The maritime program at Texas A&M University at Galveston is one of only six in the entire United States and the only one located on the Gulf of Mexico.
