The first deeply racist character in this book is Huck's father.

This novel documents the travels of a young boy by the name of Huckleberry Finn, and a runaway slave named Jim as they attempt to explore and escape their homes because of their own respective reasons.

There is one instance where Huck's father is even grumbling about a mixed race man.

Although my lack of knowledge regarding the novel was something that I was ashamed of, I still knew that Huck Finn was going to be a fantastic read considering the fact that it was written by Mark Twain, an acclaimed authors of his time.

This racism is not only within Huck's father.

Unfortunately, a controversy has built over the teaching of Huckleberry Finn.

Since Adventures of Huck Finn is one of my favorite novels, I am speaking about myself; however, I resolved I would consult the text for a theory, not apply my ideas of what the book represents.
